Usage Note

Muscolare is a two-ending adjective (muscolare / muscolari). It is used in both anatomical contexts (tessuto muscolare = muscle tissue) and colloquial descriptions of a built physique (un corpo muscolare). The noun is il muscolo (muscle). Do not confuse with muscoloso, which also means 'muscular/brawny' but is more colloquial.
