Usage Note
Muscolatura refers to the entire system of muscles in the body or to a visibly developed set of muscles: ha una muscolatura possente ('he has powerful musculature'). It is a collective singular noun; using the plural le muscolature is possible but uncommon. Do not confuse with muscolo (a single muscle).
