Also means
neither
Usage Note
Neanche (also nemmeno, neppure) is a strong negative adverb meaning 'not even' or 'not either'. It can replace non before the verb when placed first: neanche lui lo sa = 'not even he knows it'. In comparisons of degree it reinforces impossibility or surprise: non ci credo neanche un po'.
Examples
"Non ho dormito neanche un'ora stanotte."
Natural Translation
I didn't sleep even one hour last night.
Literal Translation
Not I-have slept not-even one-hour tonight.
