Usage Note
Parlante as an adjective means 'speaking' or 'talking' (un ritratto parlante = a speaking likeness). As a noun it means 'a speaker' of a language (i parlanti italiani = Italian speakers). Linguists use parlante nativo for 'native speaker'. The form is invariable for gender, with plural parlanti. Do not confuse with parlatore (a talker, someone who speaks a lot).
