Usage Note

Personalmente can introduce a personal opinion (personalmente non sono d'accordo — personally I disagree) or indicate doing something in person rather than through a representative (verrò personalmente — I will come in person). In the first sense it is close to per quanto mi riguarda (as far as I'm concerned). Note the single 's' between vowels is voiced: per-zo-.
