Usage Note
Qui (stressed) contrasts with qua (unstressed, slightly more vague): both mean 'here,' but qui pinpoints a specific location while qua is broader, as in vieni qua (come here, roughly). In practice they are often interchangeable in speech. Qui vicino means 'nearby/around here.'
