Ricavo refers to revenue or proceeds from a sale or activity: il ricavo della vendita (the proceeds of the sale). In accounting, ricavi (plural) is the standard term for revenues or turnover on an income statement. Do not confuse with profitto (profit) — ricavo is gross receipts before costs.
