Usage Note
Rincaro is derived from the verb rincarare ('to raise the price of') and is masculine. Its plural rincari is regular. It is commonly used in the news with dei prezzi or del carburante to mean a rise in prices. Note that caro means 'expensive' (and 'dear') in Italian — a false friend for English 'care'.
