Usage Note
Sipario specifically means the large stage curtain that rises and falls between acts in a theatre; it is not used for household curtains (tende or tendaggi). The idiom calare il sipario su qualcosa means 'to draw a curtain over something', i.e. to end or conceal it. The plural is regular: sipari.
