Usage Note
Solidale means standing in solidarity with someone or something: essere solidale con qualcuno (to be in solidarity with someone), acquisto solidale (ethical purchase). It differs from solido (solid, sturdy). The plural is solidali for both genders. The noun solidarietà (solidarity) is closely related.
