stagionale

seasonal

adjective stah-joh-NAH-leh Rare

Usage Note

Stagionale does not change form for masculine/feminine — only for number (stagionali in the plural), following the pattern of adjectives ending in -e. It is common in discussions of agriculture (lavoro stagionale — seasonal labour), tourism, and food. Do not confuse with stagionato, which means 'aged' or 'cured' (as in cheese).

Examples

"I prodotti stagionali sono più saporiti."

Natural Translation

Seasonal produce is more flavourful.
