Usage Note
Tecnicamente is used both in its strict sense ('from a technical standpoint') and colloquially to hedge a statement ('strictly speaking, technically'). Italian speakers increasingly use it as a discourse marker in informal speech, mirroring its English counterpart. It does not change form.
Examples
"Tecnicamente, il contratto non è ancora valido."
Natural Translation
Technically, the contract is not yet valid.
