Usage Note
Vendita refers to the act or process of selling, not a bargain event (for that Italian uses saldi or offerta). The compound in vendita means 'for sale', and punto vendita is a retail outlet. Do not confuse with venduto (sold, past participle).
Examples
"La vendita è andata bene."
Natural Translation
The sale went well.
