Usage Note

Arbitrale is the adjective from arbitro ('referee' or 'arbitrator'). In sport it modifies decisions and errors (errore arbitrale = referee's error; fischio arbitrale = referee's whistle). In law it appears in lodo arbitrale (arbitration award) and tribunale arbitrale (arbitration tribunal). It does not change for gender; the plural is arbitrali.
