Usage Note

Cinquantesimo is the ordinal number for 50th. Like all Italian ordinals, it agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies: il cinquantesimo anniversario (the fiftieth anniversary), la cinquantesima pagina (the fiftieth page). It can also be used as a noun (il/la cinquantesima) to mean 'the fiftieth one'.
