Diciottesimo is the ordinal form of diciotto (eighteen). Like all Italian ordinals, it agrees in gender and number with the noun: il diciottesimo piano, la diciottesima edizione. The eighteenth birthday (il diciottesimo compleanno) marks legal adulthood in Italy and is celebrated with particular importance.
