Usage Note

Genetica is feminine and is used as both a noun ('genetics' as a science) and an adjective (malattia genetica = genetic disease). As an adjective it agrees in gender: fattore genetico (m) vs predisposizione genetica (f). The plural of the adjective is genetici / genetiche.
