Usage Note

Ipocrisia is an abstract noun that is always feminine. The plural ipocrisie is regular. The related adjective is ipocrita (hypocritical), which is the same for masculine and feminine singular but distinguishes in the plural: ipocriti (m pl) / ipocrite (f pl). A common collocation is fare dell'ipocrisia — to play the hypocrite.
