Usage Note
Scomparso is the past participle of scomparire (to disappear) used as an adjective or noun. As a noun it refers euphemistically to a deceased or missing person: un caro scomparso (a dear departed one). It agrees in gender and number: scomparsa, scomparsi, scomparse. Do not confuse with scombussolato (confused/upset).
